Alexandra and Georgiy chose one of the most breathtaking wedding venues in Europe for their celebration — the legendary Villa del Balbianello on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. Their two-day luxury Ukrainian wedding was nothing short of a fairytale: an intimate ceremony and an opulent reception set against the backdrop of the shimmering lake, lush terraced gardens, and the villa's iconic loggia. It was my first time photographing at Villa del Balbianello, and the experience left a lasting impression. The warm summer light, the arrival by private boat, the panoramic views over Lake Como — every detail of this wedding was crafted with elegance and intention. As a documentary wedding photographer, my goal was to capture not just the grandeur of this iconic Lake Como venue, but the genuine emotions behind it — the laughter, the tears, the quiet glances between two people in love.
